Lil Nas X, se llevó a casa el premio a la canción del año por “Old Town Road”, su colaboración rap country con Billy Ray Cyrus que dominó durante 19 semanas consecutivas en la cima de la lista de sencillos de Billboard.

MADRID, 27 de agosto (Europa Press).– Rosalía se llevó el primer premio de MTV para una cantante española, Taylor Swift ganó el Video del año y Ariana Grande fue elegida Artista del año los MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) del lunes, mientras que la rapera Cardi B ganó el Mejor video de hip-hop y la recién llegada Lizzo trajo una celebración de las mujeres de talla grande.

La artista barcelonesa ganó junto al colombiano J Balvin el premio a mejor vídeo latino y mejor coreografía por la canción “Con altura”, en una ceremonia celebrada en Newark (Nueva Jersey, Estados Unidos).

Rosalía, que interpretó durante el programa su nueva canción “Yo x Ti, Tu x Mí” con el portorriqueño Ozuna, estaba nominada además en la categoría de “Mejor Artista Revelación”.

Este galardón recayó finalmente en la cantante de pop alternativo Billie Eilish, de 17 años de edad, en un programa de premios votados por los fans.

Missy Elliott recibió el premio Michael Jackson Video Vanguard de este año por sus logros profesionales de las manos de Cardi B, que se referió a Elliott como “una campeona para las mujeres que quieren hacer sus propias cosas”.

Otro recién llegado, Lil Nas X, se llevó a casa el premio a la canción del año por “Old Town Road”, su colaboración rap country con Billy Ray Cyrus que dominó durante 19 semanas consecutivas en la cima de la lista de sencillos de Billboard.
